Leaving a bequest to the ISSH Endowment enables you to give your assets social significance even after your death.
The ISSH has been designated as a ‘Public Benefit Organization’ (ANBI) in The Netherlands, and 501(c)3 in the US. That is why we do not have to pay inheritance tax on your assets. This also means that 100% of what you leave behind, goes directly to the Principal Endowment and will have impact on many lives.
Your support can significantly contribute to the future of the Institute for Social Sciences and Humanities (ISSH) through a bequest or inheritance.
Legacy Contributions
By including ISSH in your will, you can specify exactly what portion of your estate you wish to leave to the ISSH Endowment. This can be a fixed amount of money, a specific asset, or even a percentage of your entire estate. This form of giving ensures that your exact wishes are honored and that your legacy continues to support the educational mission of ISSH.
Inheritance Designations
Alternatively, you can appoint the ISSH Endowment as a (co-)heir in your will. This means that ISSH will receive a specific portion of your estate. By designating ISSH as a beneficiary, you ensure that a part of your inheritance directly supports the foundation’s long-term goals and stability.
Establishing a Personal Fund
For those who wish to leave a lasting, personal mark, it is possible to establish a named personal fund through your will. This fund will exist in perpetuity, with only the returns on the investment being used to support the designated objectives of the fund. The principal amount remains intact, creating an enduring legacy that continually benefits the community.
